Acts | Church Drama | Lesson Four

This week, return to the story of Acts with the Rev. Dr. Leigh Spruill and Dr. Kira Moolman Pettit as they discuss Acts 3-4. Here we see more miracles and the beginning of real opposition to the early Christians, even as Jesus’ followers remain faithful to His message. 

Discussion questions: 

Imagine yourself in the place of that beggar. What would you expect when you hear the words, “Look at us?” 

In the gospel of John, miracles are always referred to as “signs.” What do these healings point to? What do they say about who God is? 

In Acts 4:13 we read that the religious leaders were astonished that Peter and John were able to speak so boldly even though they were uneducated, common men. Often when it comes to our faith or to talking about the Bible we feel like we do not have much to say, that we do not know enough, or that we do not have the authority to speak about these topics. How does this passage encourage us towards boldness?
